What is meat pie?
The Nigerian meat pie is a hand-held baked pastry: a buttery, slightly crumbly crust folded over a savoury filling of seasoned minced meat, potatoes and carrots. It is a close cousin of the Cornish pasty, adapted with Nigerian seasoning, and is one of the most popular snacks at parties, bakeries and roadside kiosks across Nigeria.

Storage
Best on the day they are baked. Keep leftovers refrigerated in an airtight container and reheat in the oven until hot through.
